Project overview
Following a company acquisition, NOCN inherited a set of learner test apps that needed significant updating. The existing apps were static, content management was not efficient, and there was no visibility into how learners were performing.
NOCN wanted the learner test apps to reflect their brand, support their full qualification catalogue, and enable the ability to manage content on their own. The company roped in SHALIGRAM as its development partner to modernize its learner test and diagnostic application, Pocketskills.
SHALIGRAM’s team came up with top suggestions that took their vision a step further than a simple refresh.
Technical challenges
NOCN’s Pocketskills app was a legacy app. It required a fresh look, modern, intuitive features, support for both iOS and Android devices, and an in-app purchase feature that would enable test-takers to choose the test and make payment easily. Apart from this, the apps were acquired, so they lacked NOCN brand identity.
- Limited Categories and Trade Disciplines
- No In-App Purchase Facility
- Weak NOCN Brand Identity
- Limited Platform Compatibility
- No User Login Functionality
- No Content Management Capability
What SHALIGRAM delivered
The NOCN Pocketskills App is available for learners at NOCN centers. SHALIGRAM revamped NOCN’s Pocketskills App by making it more dynamic and scalable. The app is now free to download on mobile devices, both iOS and Android. Learners can take assessments, practice, and check key subject knowledge using this app. Content is up-to-date and enables the digital delivery team to update it periodically.
